Slow Mornings with Bondi Beach Tea

Bondi Beach Tea Review

My favourite kind of mornings are the slow ones, where you can spend as much time as you like dragging yourself out of bed. The ones where you can saunter downstairs at any given time and not feel guilty. You can watch childish cartoons, respond to e-mails at your own pace or spend as long as you like making an amazing breakfast, preferably one you don't have to share. The sun creeps in through the drawn curtains as you pad around in your thick socks, pouring yourself a steaming cup of tea. Pick your poison. Earl Grey? English Breakfast? Maybe something straight from the motherland herself; Yorkshire Tea.

The ceremony of tea is something I'm wholly dedicated to. Not a day goes by missing out on my daily tea fix. I'm currently trying the Bondi Beach Teas. I've gone off slimming teas so their selection of well-brings teas pricked my ears. I've had the Unwind, Snooze, Complexion and Australian Spring Harvest to try over the past couple of days, each with a host of health benefits.

Slow Mornings with Bondi Beach Tea
Bondi Beach Tea Cup

I believe there are four crucial moments in your everyday life where a tea is necessary. The first is your morning cuppa, the drink that energises you that gives you a reason to take those baby steps in the early hours of your day. The second is the stress tea. When things are building up, when your mind is a little too bogged down a tea can be the perfect release. At the end of the day, just before you sleep you'll have your final tea. And finally the tea for all those other moments. It fills in the gaps between the other teas when you're just feeling like having a refreshingly warm drink. Thankfully all of Bondi Beach Teas accommodate for all of these moments.

Complexion Blend
When you wake up what are some of the first tastes you associate with? Maybe a strong coffee, or the taste of your token breakfast, or maybe the minty taste of your toothpaste. The Complexion Blend tea tastes strongly of refreshing peppermint with added flavours of burdock root, lemon myrtle and licorice. If not for its taste then at least for the placebo affect of bettering your complexion after one cup.

Unwind Blend
I don't know about you but when I'm stressed I immediately turn to tea. Bondi Beach Tea's Unwind Blend tastes strongly of cinnamon transporting you to cosy winter nights in, sat by the crackling fire surrounded by soft blankets. With the addition of nettle and licorice root you'll be mellowing out in minutes.

Snooze Blend
If you're like me then anything with a hint of lavender conjures an almost impossible need for soft pillows and dim lighting. This tea contains all the main ingredients to send you off to dreamland; chamomile, lemon balm and lavender. It has a subtle, dry taste offering an almost barely-there tea experience.

Australian Spring Harvest
This is the tea used in these images which as you can see has a very strong green colour. Australian Spring Harvest contains 100% Australia sencha green tea. The smell is relatively strong. It also has a prominent taste so I'd recommend diluting it more with water than is advised on the packaging. Maybe a teaspoon in a very large mug.

Reviewing Bondi Beach Tea

The blends that Bondi Beach Tea create are all natural, vegan and gluten-free making them an instant winner. I've also found that because of their range of flavours I've been using less dairy substitutes and sugar in my tea. If you're interested in trying them out for yourself head over to Bondi Beach Tea Co. for a full list of blends and accessories.
