Thin Tea Detox Review

Thin Tea Detox Review

If you’re following my blog then you might remember the post from when I began the 28 day teatox by Thin Tea. If not you can check it out here. A couple of months ago I received my first ever teatox kit, a 28 day detox relying on the effects of two different teas, using all natural, organic ingredients to help you lose weight and balance your body's natural chemicals. Now after two weeks of the detox I can confidently tell you, from an average human being, how these controversial teatoxes effect your body, free from scaremongering and sugar coating.

The Detox
Now we know there’s fruit detoxes, smoothie detoxes, water detoxes, but the best has got to be teatoxes. Being from England I guess I’m a little biased, after all we did have a war over tea. The Thin Tea detox requires you to drink two different types of teas, one at the beginning of your day with breakfast, the other just before dinner. The idea of the detox is to help you lose weight, stop bloating and give you a few more perks along the way. Along with your daily teas you’re also advised to exercise for at last 30 minutes each day and follow their clean eating plan.

My Experience
On the scale of fasting to eating chocolate everyday I’d have to say the difficulty level is well, easy. How could it not be? All you have to do is down a couple of cups of tea and do a little exercise, sorted.

The morning fat burn blend tea tastes exactly like green tea, which makes me have a sneaking suspicion that we’re being overcharged for something you can get at your local supermarket for a fraction of the price. The afternoon detox blend tastes strongly of peppermint of which the taste doesn’t go away for a good few hours. And no, it doesn’t make your breath smell fresh, sorry,

The Verdict
It’s what you’ve been waiting for, the juicy bit. Thin Tea’s main claim is that it helps you lose weight. Now I know this is hard to believe. Before I did the detox I thought; ‘yeah of course, because it has to be the tea and it’s obviously not going to be the clean eating and working out’ (yes, heavy sarcasm). Well I have lost weight, a noticeable amount actually. Surprising since I did very little exercise, maybe ten minutes working out a day and I had major cheat days. As for eating clean I did eat incredibly healthy during the week however the weekend shall not be mentioned. So, yes, I do believe it helped me lose weight. Honestly two weeks ago you’d never hear me admitting it.

The whole anti-bloating claim is also true. Maybe that’s why I think I’ve lost noticeable weight rather than it actually being fat loss. I experienced no pain, no discomfort and guess what, no food babies.

This is one of the last things I would have thought tea would help with. My skin has cleared up immensely and somehow seems a lot less oily. You could put this down to clean eating, although with my cheat days I’m not sure if Thin Tea shouldn’t be credited at least a little bit. If you’re looking for a way to clean up your skin without having to add yet another product to your routine (or your face for that matter) then tea might be the way to go.

And finally, energy. I can barely comment on this. Personally I noticed no change in my energy levels whatsoever but I think this is especially one point that’s going to fluctuate massively from person to person. I work 50 hour weeks on night shifts so naturally I sleep a lot. For someone working 30hrs during the day I’m sure their results will be completely different.
